About Amalfi

This is the Italy of your dreams. A dramatic coastline where pastel-coloured villages cling impossibly to cliffs that plunge into the sea. From the glamour of Positano to the garden paradise of Ravello, it's pure sensory overload. But let's be honest: the Amalfi Coast can also be a logistical nightmare of traffic, crowds, and tourist traps. A local expert is your secret weapon, securing the right boat, the perfect cliffside lunch reservation, and the quiet paths away from the crowds.

Best Time to Visit

May, June, or September. Avoid August at all costs—it's impossibly crowded and hot. The season (and most services) largely shuts down from November to Easter.

Local Tips

  1. The only way to see it is by sea. A local will tell you to skip the packed ferries and hire a private gozzo (a classic wooden boat) for the day. It's the only way to find the hidden coves and sea caves.
  2. Hike above the chaos. The "Path of the Gods" is famous, but a local knows the quieter, more scenic "Path of the Lemons" connecting the towns of Maiori and Minori, with stops for fresh-squeezed lemonade.
  3. Capri doesn't have to be chaos. A local will tell you to skip the Blue Grotto queue (a 2-hour wait for a 2-minute ride) and instead visit Villa Jovis, the staggering clifftop ruins of Emperor Tiberius's palace, which you'll often have to yourself.

My name is Simone, I was born and live in Naples. I graduated in Humanities/Literature and then I had postgraduate studies in International Relations. I worked as a language teacher for a few years before moving to the tourism sector. At the moment I work as a freelance Tour guide, Tour leader and Travel consultant. I have many interests, among which I can mention Foreign languages, Photography, Archaeology, Hiking and Birdwatching. Possibly travelling is one of my biggest passions: I have travelled independently to about 50 countries (mostly in Europe and Asia), therefore I know very well the issues and doubts that arise at the time of organizing a trip!

Hi, I’m Miriam! With a soul split between Lake Garda and Naples, I’m probably the most "all-around" Italian guide you’ll find. I’ve spent 3+ years showing the secrets of Naples to curious travelers. As a singer-songwriter who started performing on these very streets as a child, I know every corner of this city like the back of my hand. I combine my passion for music and local cuisine to create authentic itineraries. Want to discover the true heart of Neapolitan culture? Let’s explore together!
