Stefania

Hi! I’m Stefania—but you can call me Ste 🌻 I’m a travel advisor born and raised in Noto, Sicily 🇮🇹 which basically means I grew up surrounded by baroque beauty, incredible food, and a very strong sense of what’s actually worth your time (and what’s not). I know the places that don’t show up on Google, the beaches you almost want to gatekeep, and the kind of local spots where you’ll still be thinking about the food months later. I also lived in Perugia for three years, which gave me a whole new perspective on Italy beyond the South. Add to that my travels, especially across the north of Spain and many Italian cities and you get someone who understands both sides: the traveller’s expectations and the local reality. So no, I won’t send you to the most “famous” place… I’ll send you to the right one!

Their expertise · No boring itineraries here 🌅! I help you experience Sicily in a way that feels easy, fun, and worth it. I’ll advise you on: • hidden beaches you won’t find on crowded lists • authentic food spots (yes, the ones locals don’t share easily 👀), including great gluten-free options without stress • must-see places… but at the right time and in the right way I can also help you with: • accommodation tips (from beautiful locations to local gems) • food & wine experiences • cultural spots and off-the-beaten-path places • planning a trip that feels smooth, not overwhelming • Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, or just want something more real than the usual tourist experience, I’ll give you honest advice and a local perspective you can actually rely on. Basically? What you can experience with me is that you enjoy the trip I make sure it’s a good one!

My name is Lucia, and I am an art historian with a lifelong passion for culture, beauty, and travel. I have been working as a licensed professional tour guide for over 30 years, and throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of turning many clients into lasting friends. What truly sets me apart is my ability to connect with each traveler on a personal level. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice - I carefully listen to your interests, preferences, and pace to create a fully tailored experience just for you. If you’re looking for something authentic, far from mass tourism, you’re in the right place. I will guide you beyond the obvious, help you explore the hidden corners that only locals know, from extraordinary art masterpieces to the most delicious local foods, charming shops, and truly memorable experiences. Through me, you won’t just visit a place, you’ll experience it like a local. I have lived for many years in the main cities of Milan, Brescia, and Bergamo, but I later moved to Lake Iseo, which is a small, still unspoiled gem.

Their expertise · If you are looking for someone who can design a truly tailor-made travel experience and help you discover authentic Italy like a local, then you are in the right place. I don’t simply provide advice - I create journeys shaped around you. I take the time to understand your interests, your pace, and what inspires you, so every moment feels personal and meaningful. Whether you love art, history, food, landscapes, hidden traditions, craftsmanship, or spiritual heritage, I will craft an experience that reflects what you are truly looking for. I will advise you on Italy’s most beautiful and iconic places, while also taking you beyond them — into hidden alleys, quiet viewpoints, authentic neighbourhoods, artisan workshops, local food and wine experiences, and extraordinary places of devotion. My goal is to offer you more than a visit. I want you to slow down, observe, connect, and feel part of the place. Every itinerary is designed with care, passion, and deep knowledge of the territory, so your journey becomes not just a trip, but a collection of unforgettable moments.

Travelling with awareness and respect for the places you visit is something I deeply value, and I’d love to be your local reference to experience Italy in that same mindful and genuine way.

Their expertise · Whether you want a stylish weekend in Milan, a food gateaway in Emilia-Romagna, or a slow itinerary mixing culture, nature and local life - I'm here to help you plan it in a smooth and stress-free way. I can support you with: • Accomodation: find the best one based on your budget and needs. • Transportation: how to get around in/across cities and small towns. • Food recommendation: from aperitivo in the Navigli District in Milan to traditional trattorias. • Customised day-by-day itinerary advice once I know your travel style and timing.

Advice that turned a great plan into an unforgettable holiday.

I'd done a lot of research before speaking to Isabella and she still managed to completely change my approach, in the best way. The tips she gave me on the consultation were so useful, and it was perfectly tailored to what we needed.

Kristine, we think you've nailed it already. We have options, and activities can be separated by age groups. We are so happy with your itinerary!

I had a free consultation with Francesca and then decided to have her review my itinerary. Even though my trip was organised at the very last minute, she managed to reorganise it perfectly, and we were able to see everything we wanted in the best possible way!

We booked a girls weekend to Paris but wanted inside knowledge on what to do. We had our itinerary reviewed by Sofia and got some great recommendations! A great mix of local hidden bars and clubs and some touristy must-see spots. Thank you!

Skip the spots on the piazza. Trattoria da Enzo in Trastevere, book ahead. I'll pin a few more near you.
Perfect. And a good sunset?

Good to know

Things travellers ask.

Which path should I pick?

If you already know which local you want to work with, browse and book direct from their profile. It's the fastest way. If you'd rather have locals find you, especially helpful for less-mapped destinations or complex trips, get free quotes from locals.

How much does it cost?

Browsing locals is free. Getting quotes is free. You only pay when you choose a local and book a service. Most custom plans sit between $80 and $250, depending on trip length and the type of service.

How quickly will I get quotes?

Most travellers get offers within 48 hours. If you're travelling within the next two weeks, say so. Locals can usually respond same-day.

Do locals do my bookings for me?

No, and this is an important distinction. Our locals develop plans based on advice, recommendations and tips. What you do with that information is entirely up to you.

What's actually included in a plan?

It depends on the type of help you need. A quick tip session might be a video call. A full plan is a detailed document with recommendations pinned on a map, plus advice on accommodation, transport, weather, and culture.

Can I message my local during the trip?

Yes. Direct chat stays open before and during your trip. You can reach out to your local to clarify any of their services, reschedule any sessions or follow up on a tip they provided.

Pick the path that fits your trip. Both ways lead to the same thing. A real person helping you plan.

Why The Voyage Co

Local travel advice used to be a luxury. Not anymore.

For years, insider recommendations were locked behind five-star concierges and expensive agencies.

You already trust a friend's recommendation over any review site. Now you can trust a local who has walked these streets for years, and you hear back within hours, for a fraction of the old cost.
