Campania
Naples, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Capri—where chaos and beauty are one and the same.

About Campania
Campania is sensory overload in the best possible way. It's the birthplace of pizza, the home of Pompeii, and the setting for one of the world's most dramatic coastlines. Naples is a city that runs on controlled chaos—scooters weaving through baroque streets, espresso served standing at marble counters, and the ever-present shadow of Vesuvius. Beyond the city, the region unfolds into the postcard perfection of the Amalfi Coast, the glamour of Capri, and the archaeological wonders of Herculaneum. It's intense, it's unforgettable, and it absolutely demands a local's perspective.
Best Time to Visit
May to June or September to October. The Amalfi Coast is impossibly crowded in July and August. Spring brings wildflowers and pleasant hiking weather along the coastal paths.
Local Tips
- Eat pizza where it was invented.
A local knows the difference between the tourist-trap pizzerias and the real deal. The best pizza in Naples isn't always at the famous spots with two-hour queues—ask for the neighbourhood favourites.
- Skip Pompeii's crowds.
Herculaneum is smaller, better preserved, and a fraction of the crowds. A local can combine it with a hike up Vesuvius and a wine tasting on the volcanic slopes for a perfect day.
- Take the ferry to Procida.
While everyone heads to Capri, the tiny island of Procida (Italian Capital of Culture 2022) offers colourful fishing villages and authentic island life. A local knows the best swimming spots.

Hi everyone! My name is Viola. I was born and raised in Naples city center, and I feel a deep connection with my beautiful city. Since I have been living here my whole life, I can recommend activities for everyone (kids, friend's groups, families, couples, solo travellers... I've got your back!). Loris
Naples, Sorrento
My name is Loris, born and raised in Naples. I studied hospitality and built my career in tourism and food, gaining international experience in renowned Italian restaurants in Paris. Back in Italy, I worked in hotels, pizzerias, bars, and restaurants, always with tourists. I also led walking food tours in Sorrento and along the Amalfi Coast, deepening my knowledge of local products and traditions. I offer authentic, personalized experiences in Naples and beyond.

Elisabeth
Bologna, Naples +2
Hi, I’m Elisabeth. I live in Italy and I’ve always been deeply connected to the rhythms of everyday life here—slow walks through historic streets, good food shared without rush, and small details that most travellers might miss. I love exploring places both like a local and like a curious outsider: from hidden cafés and traditional bakeries to quiet corners where you can really feel the atmosphere of a city. I’ve spent a lot of time discovering how to enjoy Italian life in a balanced, authentic way—whether that means finding the right spot for a relaxed meal, a scenic walk, or simply a peaceful moment away from the crowds. I’m especially drawn to culture, storytelling, and traditions, particularly from southern Italy, so I naturally bring a more emotional and immersive perspective to travel. If you’re looking to experience a place beyond the typical tourist path, I’ll help you see it with different eyes.

Simone
Naples, Caserta +2
My name is Simone, I was born and live in Naples. I graduated in Humanities/Literature and then I had postgraduate studies in International Relations. I worked as a language teacher for a few years before moving to the tourism sector. At the moment I work as a freelance Tour guide, Tour leader and Travel consultant. I have many interests, among which I can mention Foreign languages, Photography, Archaeology, Hiking and Birdwatching. Possibly travelling is one of my biggest passions: I have travelled independently to about 50 countries (mostly in Europe and Asia), therefore I know very well the issues and doubts that arise at the time of organizing a trip!
